Questions and Answers

1.      Do you have pilgrimages planned for the Holy Land?

As of today, December 2, 2002, no pilgrimages are planned for the Holy Land.  The State Department still has travel restrictions for American citizens wishing to travel to Israel at this time. Pilgrimages to Israel will resume as soon as travel restrictions are lifted.

2.      Are there other pilgrimages or trips scheduled to other parts of the world?

Yes, there are pilgrimages planned for the Marian and other Catholic shrines of Europe.  In the recent past Fr. Lim led pilgrims to visit Portugal, Spain, Frances, Italy, Germany, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Greece and recently China.

3.      Can you tell me more about the European Marian pilgrimages?

There are no travel restrictions to the principal Marian and other Catholic

shrines of Europe.  Fatima and Lourdes continue to attract people

worldwide. .  Fr. Lim has brought pilgrims to the various shrines of Europe.

In  2001 he brought pilgrims to Rome, Venice, Salzburg, Vienna and

Prague.   In June 2002 he took pilgrims to Belgium, Switzerland, Austria

and Germany.    See St. Victor’s website (www.stvictor.org) for further

information on previous and coming pilgrimages.

4.      Tell me something more about China.

China is a favorite destination for many Americans.  A fast developing country China offers some of the most spectacular and historical treasures.  In a recent travel (Nov 4-18, 2002) a group of fifteen people, mostly from St Victor’s parish, visited Beijing, Xi’an, Chongquing, Wuhan, Suzhou, Hangzhou and Shanghai.  There are no pilgrimage sites in China but during the recent trip Fr. Lim was able to celebrate Mass for the group at the cathedrals of Chongquing, Beijing, Hangzhou and Shanghai.
