Stained Glass

Easter Sunday - Resurrection of the Lord - March 22-23, 2008

The priests, sister and staff of St. Victor’s Church wish you a blessed, peaceful Easter.

One of the beautiful traditions of the Easter season is the lighting of the Paschal Candle.  The Easter (Paschal) Candle symbolizes Christ as the Light of the World.  It stands in the sanctuary throughout the days of Easter until Ascension, reminding us of the risen Christ – the true light for each and every person.

St. Victor’s Welcomes...Those who are receiving Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation: Ginger Ho, Jose Jimenez, Phil Nguyen and Linda Truong...and, those who are making a Profession of Faith and receiving Eucharist and Confirmation: Rona Aragon, Jeanina Gonzales, Reuben Juni, Mary Jane Lacro, Orlando Lacro, Aries Laderes, Leilani Ladrillono, Garrett Malate, Mark Morrow, Antonio Paniagua, Jonathan Que, Kelly Sana, Steve Strawbridge and Laurentino Zapanta.

ANNUAL DIOCESAN APPEAL

Bishop McGrath, the Diocesan Steering committee, Father Perata, Priests and Parish Chairman, we all THANK and CONGRATULATE St. Victor’s for another stellar performance in the Annual Diocesan Appeal. Those funds collected in excess of the Diocesan assessment will, as usual, be returned to the parish.  We may all take pride that St. Victor’s continues to be a leader in this most important annual pledge drive.  Again, our THANKS and CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR CONTINUED GENEROSITY, SUPPORT AND A JOB WELL DONE!!!

ANNUAL ACIES

Acies is an individual and collective renewal of consecration to our Blessed Mother.  Every year, all active and auxiliary members of the Legion of Mary renew their consecration to our heavenly Queen.  Families and friends are welcome.  This year’s Acies will be held at Resurrection Church (725 Cascade Dr., Sunnyvale) on Saturday, April 5th. The rosary and consecration starts at 11:00 A.M.  Mass follows at 12:00 noon.  Refreshments will be served in their parish hall after the Mass.

EASTER FLOWER DONATIONS NEEDED

Donations for the Altar Society Flowers may be made in our EASTER FLOWER envelopes located on the table in the vestibule of the Church.  Your contribution will help defray some of the expenses used for beautifying the Church at this time of the year.  Please place these envelopes in the collection basket, or drop them by the Rectory Office.

Welcome to all visitors.  We hope that you enjoy your time and celebration with us.

Something incredible is about to happen!

St. Victor Church’s Vacation Bible School is in the planning stage!  It will be held the mornings of July 21st through July 25th. What is Vacation Bible School?  It is a Jesus celebration!  It is 5 mornings of music, games, snack, drama, and Bible teaching for children entering kindergarten, through 5th grade.

Power Lab Vacation Bible School will give our children a new enthusiasm for God’s Word – and for Jesus!  We will engage the children with fun, and science-minded surprises; they’ll see amazing things happen. They’ll see that Jesus gives them the power to be thankful; help others; be brave; live forever; and tell others about God. For more information, or to help, contact the Rectory Office @ 251-7055.
