SECOND COLLECTION TODAY FOR ST. VICTOR’S DEVELOPMENT FUNDToday’s second collection is for St. Victor’s Development Fund. This fund assists with the never-ending repairs and projects on the parish grounds. Thank you for your support and generosity. A Big St. Victor’s Welcome To... Rev. Michael Hendrickson, who will be the new pastor
here at St. Victor’s upon Father Perata’s retirement in June.
Father Hendrickson is a California native and grew up in Morgan Hill.
After graduating from Live Oak High School, he entered the U.S. Naval
Academy in July 1986, was commissioned as a naval officer in May 1990, and
served as a Surface Warfare Officer. After
leaving the Navy in 1994, he entered St. Patrick’s Seminary and was ordained a
priest of the Diocese of San Jose in June 2001.
His first assignment was to the Cathedral Basilica, where he was assigned
for two years. Following this
assignment, he reentered the Navy as a chaplain. He served the Marines on
Okinawa, Japan, and aboard USS IWO JIMA, home-ported in Norfolk, Virginia.
After his three-and–a-half year tour as a chaplain, he returned to the
Cathedral and has been serving as their parochial vicar. St. Victor’s will also be welcoming Rev. Paul Cuong Phan as Parochial Vicar, who is coming to us from Christ the King on July 1st. We would like to THANK and offer our BEST WISHES to Rev. Lieu Vu, who will be leaving St. Victor’s and moving to St. Frances Cabrini Parish as their Parochial Vicar. $CRIP
