SECOND COLLECTION TODAY FOR ST. VICTOR'S DEVELOPMENT FUND

Today’s second collection is for St. Victor’s Development Fund. This fund assists with the never-ending repairs and projects on the parish grounds. Thank you for your generosity.

Mother’s Day Spiritual Bouquet Cards

Mother’s Day Spiritual Bouquet Cards are available on the tables around the inside of the Church.  These cards are wonderful for remembering mothers everywhere – living or deceased.  It is a great opportunity to have them remembered during Mass in our Church on Mother’s Day and throughout the month of May.  Please drop the completed return envelope in the collection basket or take it to the Parish Office by 9:00 A.M. this Friday, May 9th.

May “Crowning” of the Blessed Mother

Please join the Legion of Mary in honoring our Blessed Mother on Saturday, May 10th.  The Rosary procession starts at 4:30 P.M. followed by our Saturday 5:00 P.M. Mass.  Please come and bring flowers.  Refreshments will be served after the Mass.

Power Lab Vacation Bible School, during the week of July 21st-25th, (kindergarten through 6th grade) will give our children a new enthusiasm for God’s Word – and for Jesus!  We will engage the children with fun, and science-minded surprises; they’ll see amazing things happen. They’ll see that Jesus gives them the power to be thankful; help others; be brave; live forever; and tell others about God. For more information, or to help, contact the Rectory Office (251-7055).

PHO NOODLE SOUP – THIS WEEKEND

PLANNED GIVING NOTES

Your Friend, the Codicil

You can easily change your will to benefit St. Victor’s Parish.   All you need to do is have a codicil that adds to or modifies something in your will.  Codicils are effective, inexpensive and easy.

If you want to know more about this, the Diocese can provide free assistance.  Call the Development Office @ 983-0246, or write to them at: 900 Lafayette St., Suite 301, Santa Clara, CA 95050.

$CRIP UPDATE

$CRIP gift certificates will be available after Masses this weekend (except Sunday 7:00 & 8:0 A.M.).  They make great Mother’s Day gifts.  You purchase the gift certificate at face value and the store, merchant or restaurant makes a donation to St. Victor’s School.

The School also participates in the eScrip, Box Tops for Education and Campbell products label programs.  They also collect old printer cartridges.  For more information, please call the School Office @ 251-1740.  {Box Tops for Education, Campbell products labels and old printer cartridges may be dropped off at the School Office during regular school hours.  Our students thank you for your support!}

The Knights of Columbus Milpitas Council 5796 will be hosting a Mother’s Day Buffet right here in St. Victor’s Parish Hall next Sunday, May 11th, from 8:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M.  The buffet will include omelets, eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, baron of beef, ham and turkey tray, rolls, croissants, fresh fruit, rice, desserts, candy, orange juice and coffee.  Cost is only $13.00 per adult and $8.00 per child (12 and under).  Presale tickets will be available this weekend, May 3rd- 4th, after all Masses.

MAY THE MONTH OF MARY

Would you like to have the Pilgrim Virgin statue visit your house?  One of the Legion of Mary’s works is to propagate the praying of the rosary by bringing the Virgin statue to families who request it.  For more info, and/or to request the statue, please call the Rectory Office (251-7055).
