Thanks to two parish organizations for their well-done events this weekend.  The Guadalupe Society's crab feed and the Vietnamese Association leading the parish in celebrating Tet involved untold hours of preparation from the members of both organizations in order to give the rest of the parish two opportunities for R&R ("rest and relaxation" in military lingo).  The 12:15 Tet Mass, led by Fr. Paul, also offered all of our parishioners an opportunity to participate in the vibrant Catholicism practiced by the Vietnamese, which has survived even severe Communist oppression.  It is a great honor to serve as pastor to so many who have suffered greatly for the Gospel.                        Father Michael Hendrickson

We’re off to a GREAT start!  It’s certainly not too late to make your pledge for 2009.  Simply use the form and envelope mailed to you some weeks ago.  In case it has been misplaced, please use the envelopes that are available in the pews.  Please give this matter your most careful and prayerful attention.  The need is great and we hope that EVERYONE will help.  Your parish priests and fellow parishioners are DEEPLY GRATEFUL to those who have already pledged support to this year’s Annual Diocesan Campaign.  Watch our progress toward our goal as posted in the vestibule of the Church.

Spaghetti Dinner

St. Victor’s U.n.I. Lord Teens will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner & Entertainment in the parish hall this Sunday, February 8^th, from 4:30-6:30 P.M.  This evening promises to have excellent food and wonderful entertainment for the very LOW prices of: $8.00 per adult, $4.00 per child (12 and under), or $25.00 per family (immediate family members only).  Tickets will be available at the door.  Bring your friends, family and neighbors for a fun-filled evening. [Orders “to go” are also available.] All proceeds benefit St. Victor’s Youth Ministry Programs.

PARISH PAY – Donations to the Church may be made monthly by credit card or checking account transfers.  Parish Pay is coming to St. Victor’s mid-February.  Bulletin inserts with all the info to follow.

Catechetical Ministry Teacher Needed

Catechetical Ministry is in need of a 1^st/2^nd Grade teacher on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 P.M, through the end of our school year, ending in April 2009.  If you would love to share your faith with our young people, please contact Anne Gleason or Angela Giampaoli in the Catechetical Ministry Office @ 251-0165 for more details and training.  We promise you, it is a very rewarding experience.
