St. Victor Parish is going to
have a unique worship service this Lent. We
are going to celebrate Tenebrae (pronounced “TEN-ah-bray”), which is the
Latin word for “shadows.” Tenebrae
is an ancient Holy Week service that commemorates in dramatic fashion the
betrayal, abandonment and agony of Our Lord’s Passion by the use of light and
darkness, psalms, readings and hymns. Our
12:15 P.M. Mass choir is going to lead us in this service this Monday,
March 30th, from 7:30-8:30 P.M. in the church.
All parishioners are encouraged to join us that evening for this rarely
conducted liturgy.
