Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph - December 26-27, 2009
SECOND COLLECTION TODAY FOR OUR ST. VINCENT de PAUL SOCIETYToday’s Second Collection is for our St. Vincent de Paul Society. These funds are used to assist the needy of our parish community throughout the month. Thank you for your generosity. Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God(World
Day of Prayer for Peace) Mary,
the Mother of God, ushered in a new era with the birth of her divine
Son. She has been given as
Mother to us. As she
watched over the beginnings of the Christ-child’s life, so may she
watch over all of us at the beginning of this New Year.
As we begin another year with her feast, let us pray that her
motherly intercession will gain peace, joy and every blessing upon us
and those we love. PRAYER TO THE MOTHER OF GOD: Remember,
most loving Virgin Mary, never was it heard that anyone who turned to
you for help was left unaided. Inspired
by this confidence, though burdened by my sins, I turn to you for
protection for you are my mother.
Mother of the Word of God, do not despise my words of pleading,
but be merciful and hear my prayer.
Amen. There
