PLANNED GIVING NOTES

Turn Your Home From A Tax Sponge Into A Tax Deduction

Are you tired of paying taxes on your home?  Did you know that you can get a tax deduction for a portion of your home’s value to help offset these taxes?  You can do this, continue to live in your home and support the work of your parish at the same time.

If you want to know more about this, the Diocese can provide free assistance.  Call Robert Serventi @ 983-0168, or write to him at: Diocese of San Jose The Chancery, 1150 N. First St., Suite 100, San Jose, CA 95112-4966.

$CRIP gift certificates will be available after Masses this weekend, except Sunday 7:00 & 8:00 A.M. Just in time for Christmas - American Express and Visa “bank cards” are now available. Don’t forget to place your holiday $CRIP orders early.  If you have any questions regarding the $CRIP program, please call the School Office @ 251-1740.

Masses.  All items cost $5.00 each.  The teens hold this fundraiser each year to help those in need during the holiday season.  [In the past, they have been able to provide holiday meals, groceries for several weeks, new coats or clothing and Christmas toys and decorations for their adopt-a-family.]  Thank you in advance for your generous support of St. Victor’s Teens. God bless you.

ALTAR SOCIETY MEETING – EVERYONE IS WELCOME

Reminder to all our Altar Society members:  Our next meeting will be held on Thursday, November 19th, at 6:30 P.M. in the hall.  New members are always welcome.

Non-Perishable Food Collection - Thanksgiving Day
There is so much for which to be thankful for, if only we look to see.  So much, that perhaps we have taken it for granted.  As has been our custom at St. Victor’s, we again ask that non-perishable food items be brought to Mass on THANKSGIVING DAY, and that they be presented at the altar during the offertory procession at each Mass.  Your gifts will be accepted by our St. Vincent de Paul Society volunteers, and put into baskets for distribution to over 60 needy families of our neighborhood throughout the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday seasons.  Monetary donations will also be accepted.

Donations to the Church may be made monthly by credit card or checking account transfers.  Parish Pay is now available at St. Victor’s.  You may access the web site @ www.stvictor.org and click on DONATE or call toll-free @ 1-866-727-4741 and give them the information over the phone.  If you have any questions, you may also call the Parish Office @ 251-7055.
