2010 ANNUAL DIOCESAN APPEAL

GROWING IN FAITH TOGETHER

We’re off to a GREAT start!  It’s certainly not too late to make your pledge for 2010.  Simply use the form and envelope mailed to you some weeks ago.  In case it has been misplaced, please use the envelopes that are available in the pews.  Please give this matter your most careful and prayerful attention.  The need is great and we hope that EVERYONE will help.  Your parish priests and fellow parishioners are DEEPLY GRATEFUL to those who have already pledged support to this year’s Annual Diocesan Campaign.  Watch our progress toward our goal as posted in the vestibule of the Church.

An important ADA video from the Bishop may be viewed see above.  You may also donate online by going to: Click here to make your donation online .

Blessing of the Throats – Feast of St. Blaise

The blessing of the sick by the Church is a very ancient custom, rooted in imitation of Christ Himself and His apostles.  In the United States , the annual Blessing of Throats is a traditional sign of  struggle against illness in the life of the Christian.

The annual Blessing of Throats at St. Victor’s will take place this Wednesday, February 3rd, at the 8:00 A.M. Mass and promptly at 4:00 P.M. in the Church (NO MASS).

Is There Sick Among You? (James 5:14)

The sick and homebound members of St. Victor’s Parish are an important part of our spiritual community.  To show our care and concern for them, our Eucharistic Ministers to the Sick would like to bring the Eucharist to them regularly.  If you or a family member would like to be visited, please call Sister Noreen at the Rectory Office @ 251-7055.
